Itineraries

Day 1

El Cairo

Arrival in Cairo. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Remain of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 2

El Cairo

Breakfast. After a full day of sightseeing, we'll head to the Giza Valley, home to the three pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure, built over 4.500 years ago, along with the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. We'll also visit the Citadel of Saladin and later the Egyptian Museum. We'll also visit the Coptic Quarter. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 3

Cairo - Aswan

Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to Aswan (not included). Arrival and visit to the High Dam, a massive engineering feat that holds back the Nile River, creating Lake Nasser. Visit to the Red Granite Quarry, home to the famous 41-meter-high unfinished obelisk. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Aswan (Wednesday or Friday)

Breakfast. Included is a visit to Abu Simbel by bus, where we will see the temples carved into the western desert cliff by Ramses II and dedicated to Amun-Ra. We will also see the Temple of Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Transfer to the river port to board a full-board Nile River cruise. Boarding the cruise. In the afternoon, we will sail by felucca to visit the Botanical Garden, Elephantine Island, and the Mausoleum of the Agha Khan. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 5

Aswan - Kom Ombo – Edfu

Full board. Sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the temple of the gods Sobek and Horaris. Then, sail to Edfu. Visit the temple of Horus, considered the most perfect temple of ancient Egyptian civilization. Overnight on board.

Day 6

Edfu-Luxor

Full board. Sailing to Luxor. Arrival and visit to the east bank of the Nile River, where we will see the Temple of Karnak, built in 2000 BC and dedicated to Amun Ra. It is the largest temple in Egypt, consisting of 22 temples. Next, we will visit the Temple of Luxor, built during the modern dynasty, in 1.450 BC, by Amenophis and Ramses II. Overnight on board.

Day 7

Luxor - Cairo

Breakfast and disembarkation. Optionally, we will take a hot air balloon ride in Luxor. We will cross the Nile River on a raft to the West Bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, Medinet Habu, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Cairo (not included). Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 8

Cairo – City of origin

Breakfast. Airport transfer. End of our services.
