Itineraries
Day 1
El Cairo
Arrival in Cairo. Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Remain of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 2
El Cairo
Breakfast. Today we will have a full day of sightseeing. We will begin with the Museum of Antiquities, where we will see the Treasure of Tutankhamun and many other ancient Egyptian monuments. Then we will continue to Giza, home to the three pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Menkaure, built over 4.500 years ago, along with the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Afterwards, we will head to Old Cairo to visit the Mohamed Aly Mosque, the Saladin Citadel, and the Coptic Quarter. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 3
Cairo – Luxor (Saturday or Monday)
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for a flight to Luxor (not included). Arrival and transfer to the river port to board the boat for a full-board Nile cruise. On the same day, we will visit the east bank of the Nile, where we will visit Karnak and Luxor Temples. Overnight on board.
Day 4
Luxor - Edfu
Full board on board. Optionally, we will have the opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride in Luxor. Visit the Necropolis of Thebes, including the famous Valley of the Kings, a panoramic view of the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir Al Bahari, unique for its large stepped terraces; the Medinet Habu Temple of Ramses III; and the Colossi of Memnon, which guarded the entrance to the funerary temple of King Amenophis III. Return to the ship. Overnight on board.
Day 5
Edfu – Kom Ombo - Aswan
Full board on board. Visit to the Temple of the God Horus. Cruise to Kom Ombo and visit the Temple of the God Sobek and the God Horaris. We will also see the Nilometer, used by the ancient Egyptians to measure the water level of the Nile. Continue to Aswan. Overnight on board.
Day 6
Aswan
Full board on board. Visit to Abu Simbel by bus, where we'll see the temples carved into the western desert cliff by Ramses II and dedicated to Amun-Ra. We'll also see the Temple of Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. We'll also visit the High Dam, a massive engineering feat that holds back the waters of the Nile River, creating Lake Nasser. We'll also visit the Red Granite Quarry, where the famous 41-meter-high unfinished obelisk is located. In the afternoon, we'll take a felucca ride, a traditional fishing boat, from which we'll tour Elephantine Island, the Botanical Gardens, and the Mausoleum of Agha Khan. Overnight stay on board.
Day 7
Aswan – Cairo
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo (not included). Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 8
Cairo – City of origin
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport. End of our services.
