Itineraries

Day 1

El Cairo

Arrival in Cairo, a city known as "The Jewel of the East" or "The City of a Thousand Minarets," the cradle of civilization. Reception at the airport and transfer to your chosen hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. If you arrive early, a self-guided tour is recommended to discover this marvelous city, where past and present intertwine and where you will find evidence of more than 2.000 years of history where the cultures of Islam, Coptic Christianity, and Judaism have mingled and continue to merge. Overnight stay.

Day 2

El Cairo

Breakfast. In the morning, you will visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops (Great Pyramid), Khafre (Second Pyramid), and Menkaure (Third Pyramid); the Sphinx, a human-headed lion; and the Valley Temple. You will admire the only remaining intact of the "Seven Wonders of the World," the Pyramid of Cheops, built by Pharaoh Khufu (Cheops) in the Fourth Dynasty around 2650 BC. This pyramid currently stands 137 meters tall (originally 146 meters), and 2,5 million stone blocks were used in its construction. Free afternoon for an optional excursion to Memphis and Sakkara, where you can admire the colossal 13-meter-high statue of Ramses II and the Step Pyramid, built by the architect Imhotep, commissioned by Pharaoh Djoser. Accommodation.

Day 3

El Cairo

Breakfast. Free day for further optional visits to Old Cairo, including the Egyptian Museum, the Mohamed Aly Mosque, and the Saladin Citadel, or shopping at the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. In the evening, you will enjoy dinner and a belly dancing show at a restaurant/boat on the Nile. Overnight stay.

Day 4
