Itineraries

Day 1

Hanoi

Arrival at Hanoi International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Remain of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Hanoi – Tam Cok – Hoa Lu - Hanoi

Breakfast. Departure in the morning. After a two-and-a-half-hour drive, we arrive in Ninh Binh province. Once there, in Tam Coc, we'll board a small rowboat to explore an unforgettable landscape where we'll discover local villages, spectacular caves, and endless landscapes. Next, we'll visit Bich Dong Pagoda, a site nicknamed "The Second Most Beautiful Cave in Vietnam" by an ancient king. Lunch. Afterward, we'll drive to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam until 2, leaving the temples of King Dinh and King Le as a reminder.
After finishing, I return to Hanoi arriving around 5 pm.

Day 3

Hanoi

Breakfast. City tour including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (exterior visit), Ho Chi Minh's House on Stilts, the Governor's Palace (exterior visit), the One Pillar Pagoda, and the Tran Quoc Pagoda. Lunch. Afterward, we travel to the Hoa Lo Prison-Museum, better known as "the Hilton" to the hundreds of American prisoners who were incarcerated there from 54 to 73. We continue to the Temple of Literature, the country's first university founded in 1070, and a visit to Hoan Kiem Lake or the Lake of the Restored Sword. We take a cyclo ride through Hanoi's Old Quarter, also known as the 36-street neighborhood, each of which was once known for its artisans and workshops specializing in a particular profession. Afterward, return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 4

Hanoi – Halong/Lan Ha

Breakfast. Departure for Halong Bay (or Lan Ha Bay, a part of Halong), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a journey through the farmlands of the Red River Delta and the landscape of rice fields. Arrival in Halong Bay and boarding a boat. Lunch on board. After lunch, we will continue cruising and discovering the many islands in the bay. Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Day 5

Halong/Lan Ha – Hanoi – Danang – Hoi An

Early risers can participate in a Tai Chi demonstration on the upper deck. A light breakfast will then be served, followed by a lavish brunch, before continuing the cruise through the myriad of islands and islets. Around 10:30-11:00 a.m., we will disembark and begin our return journey to Hanoi airport for our flight to Danang (flight included). Arrival and direct transfer to Hoi An (approximately 30 minutes). Overnight stay.

Day 6

Hoi An

Breakfast. City tour. Walk through the old city center to visit traditional merchants' homes, the Japanese Bridge, over 400 years old, the Phuc Kien Chinese Temple, an old house with traditional architecture, and the Sa Huynh City History Museum. Lunch. Free afternoon to enjoy the beach, stroll through the colorful downtown market, or go shopping. Overnight stay.

Day 7

Hoi An - Hue

Breakfast. Depart by road to Hue, the former Vietnamese imperial capital, via the Hai Van Pass (Ocean of Clouds) and the picturesque Lang Co Beach, where we will stop for photos. Along the way, we will visit the Cham Museum. Lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the mausoleums of Emperor Minh Mang and Emperor Khai Dinh. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 8

Hue - Ho Chi Minh

Breakfast. Afterward, take a boat ride along the romantic Perfume River and visit Thien Mu Pagoda. We will visit the Imperial Citadel, from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945, and its Royal Museum. Lunch at a local restaurant. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (flight included). Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 9

Ho Chi Minh – Mekong Delta – Ho Chi Minh

Breakfast. Departure for the spectacular Mekong Delta. Upon arrival, we will board a boat that will take us through the narrow canals, surrounded by dense vegetation, to the heart of the Delta. It is a completely different world where life revolves around the river. Throughout the day, you will be able to taste many of these local products, such as exotic and native fruits grown in the Delta's orchards and coconut candies made in family-run factories. We will return to the riverbank for a ride on a typical local vehicle and then take a rowboat through the canals dense with vegetation. Lunch will follow. At the end, we will return to Ho Chi Minh City to continue the panoramic tour of the city, stopping to see the Reunification Palace (exterior visit), Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Old Central Post Office. Overnight stay.

Day 10

Ho Chi Minh City – Hometown

Breakfast and transfer to the airport. End of our services.

  • On the Halong cruise, it is not possible to accommodate three passengers (adults or children) in the same room. They must stay in a double + single room.
  • To process the visa, you must send us: a copy of your passport, a passport photo, and a copy of your entry and exit airline tickets (or just your entry or exit tickets if we issued one).
  • Visa information may vary. It is each passenger's responsibility to be informed about each visa they require and how to process it.
