Itineraries

Day 1

Delhi.

Arrival at New Delhi International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Delhi – Shahpura - Jaipur

Breakfast. Departure for Jaipur. En route, lunch will be served at the impressive Shahpura Palace, decorated with 300-year-old murals. Continue to Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan. In the afternoon, we will attend the Aarti ceremony at the Birla Temple. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Jaipur.

Breakfast. Visit to Amber Fort. This palace complex stands atop a hill, which we will climb on elephant back (seat is limited) or in jeeps. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit the City Palace and the astonishing Jantar Mantar, an observatory where we can test the accuracy of instruments built in the 18th century. We will admire the spectacular façade of the Palace of the Winds, now a symbol of the city. Afterwards, we will take a panoramic tour of Albert Hall, the oldest museum in the state and a fine example of Indo-Saracenic architecture. Free time at the famous local market, "Bapu Bazaar." Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Jaipur – Abhaneri – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

Breakfast. Depart by road for Agra, visiting Abhaneri and its medieval Rajput monuments such as the Chand Baori well en route. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue by road to visit the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. Onward to Agra. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Agra,

Breakfast. At the scheduled time, we will depart for a visit to the Taj Mahal, considered one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Round-trip transportation from the parking lot will be by e-bus. Afterward, we will visit Agra Fort, a walled complex enclosing palaces and stately buildings with architectural styles ranging from the complexity of Akbar's construction to the simplicity of his grandson Shah Jahan's. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Mother Teresa's Asram. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Agra – Jhansi – Orchha – Khajuraho

Breakfast. Transfer to the railway station to take the train to Jhansi (included). Upon arrival, we will visit the historic town of Orchha, where we will visit its temples and the famous Orchha Fort. The remainder of the time will be free to explore Orchha's colorful markets and local temples. Lunch (vegetarian). We continue our journey to Khajuraho, famous for its exotic appeal and striking temple sculptures. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7

Khajuraho - Varanasi

Breakfast. Visit to the largest Hindu temple complex in the country, famous for its intricately carved erotic sculptures and considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Early lunch at the hotel. At a convenient time, transfer to Khajuraho airport for your flight to Varanasi (included). Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Varanasi is located on the banks of the Ganges River and is the most important city for Hindu devotees. In the afternoon, take a rickshaw ride to witness the aarti ceremony at the ghats of the sacred Ganges. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8

Varanasi

Before dawn, transfer to the ghats of the Ganges River to observe the purification rituals from a boat. After sunrise, you will visit some of the region's most exotic temples. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Free time to rest. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Sarnath, a small town near Varanasi considered one of the four holiest sites in Buddhism. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9

Varanasi - Delhi

Breakfast. Transfer to Varanasi airport for your flight to Delhi (included). Upon arrival, city tour: Jama Masjid, rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, exterior of the Red Fort, Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi Memorial), the Sikh Temple, Presidential Palace, Parliament, India Gate, and the Qutub Minar. Lunch and dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight stay.

Day 10

Delhi – Hometown

Breakfast. Transfer to the airport for departure. End of our services.

  • Cancellation fees: 36 to 32 days: 15%; 31 to 22 days: 30%; 21 to 16 days: 55%; 15 to 9 days: 75%; 8 days before the start of the tour: 100% of the fee. If airfare is included in the cancellation, the fee is 100%.
