Itineraries
Day 1
Amman
Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.
Day 2
Amman – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Shobak – Petra
Breakfast and departure for Madaba. Arrival and visit of the Church of St. George, with its famous mosaic depicting all the biblical territories. Continue to Mount Nebo, from whose summit Moses saw the Promised Land. Visit the mosaic collection and then continue to Shobak Castle. The exterior of Shobak Castle is impressive, with an imposing gate and a triple wall surrounding it. Despite the precautions taken by its builder, the fortress fell into the hands of Saladin only 75 years after its construction. The inscriptions of his proud successors appear on the castle walls. Continue to Petra. Arrival, dinner, and overnight stay.
Day 3
Petra
Breakfast. Day dedicated to visiting the Rose City, the capital of the Nabataeans. During the visit, we will see the most important and representative monuments carved into the rock by the Nabataeans. We begin with the Treasury, a famous and internationally renowned monument featured in one of the Indiana Jones movies, the Colored Tombs, the Royal Tombs, the Monastery... Petra is one of those places in the world you must visit at least once in your life. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4
Petra – Ai Beida – Wadi Rum
Breakfast. Departure for the nearby town of Al Beida, also known as Little Petra. Visit this caravanserai. Then, departure for the Wadi Rum Desert. Arrival and 2-hour visit in 4x4 vehicles driven by Bedouins (6 people per vehicle). This consists of a brief foray into the lunar landscape of this desert. During our walk, we will observe the wonders created by nature and the erosion of the rocks and sand. Afterwards, transfer to the Bedouin camp where you will spend the night under the stars. (Standard tents included in the camp) If you wish to stay in capsule tents, inquire about the supplement. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5
Wadi Rum – Amman
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, departure for Amman. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6
Amman – Jerash – Dead Sea
Breakfast and departure for a visit to Jerash. During the excursion, we will visit the Arch of Triumph, the Oval Plaza, the Cardo, the Colonnade, the Temple of Aphrodite, and finally, the Roman Theater, with its wonderful acoustics. At the end of the tour, transfer to the Dead Sea. Arrival and free time for swimming and mud baths. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 7
Dead Sea – Amman Airport
Breakfast. Free time until transfer to Amman airport. End of services.
