After breakfast, you will depart by bus from your hotel for a tour of Bangkok's main avenues to the bustling Chinatown neighborhood. Our first stop will be Wat Traimit, better known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha, which houses a 5-ton solid gold Buddha image steeped in history. The next stop will be Wat Pho, or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, one of the largest in the world at 46 meters long. Next, you will visit the impressive Grand Palace complex, one of the most beautiful in the world for its exquisite decoration blending traditional Thai style with Renaissance influences. The visit to the Grand Palace includes a visit to Wat Phra Kaew, or the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, the most important in all of Thailand. On your return to the hotel, you will visit the state-owned gemstone factory. NOTE: For the visit to the Grand Palace, you must wear ankle-length trousers and a long-sleeved shirt/t-shirt or elbow-length shirt.

Day 3

Bangkok

Breakfast and overnight stay. Free day (or city tour if not scheduled the day before).

Day 4

Bangkok – Khanchanaburi (River Kwai)

Breakfast and early departure to Kanchanaburi province, known for its famous Bridge over the River Kwai and for being the scene of some events during World War II. We will visit the cemetery, where prisoners who lost their lives during the bridge's construction are buried, and the War Museum. We will take a boat ride along the River Kwai to the bridge and have free time to walk across it and stroll around. From there, we will head to the unusual railway section known as "Hellfire Pass," a crossing built in record time by Allied prisoners of war (mainly British and Australian) between 1942 and 1943. Lunch will follow. After lunch, transfer to the hotel and free time to enjoy the hotel's privileged location and surroundings. Overnight stay.

Day 5

Kanchanaburi (River Kwai) – Ayutthaya – Ang Thong – Phitsanulok

Breakfast. Our first visit of the day will be to Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Siam and the country's preeminent archaeological center. We will visit its archaeological site of great historical interest and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Ayutthaya is a lasting example of the importance and rich heritage of this country. Lunch. We will then head to the city of Ang Thong where we will visit Wat Muang, famous for housing the largest seated Buddha in Thailand and the ninth largest in the world at almost 100 meters tall. Departure for Phitsanulok, a town located in the heart of Thailand and considered one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage centers in the country. During the journey, we will witness the changing landscape, becoming increasingly lush and green, already surpassing the jungle landscapes of the north of the country. Arrival in Phitsanulok in the afternoon and overnight stay.

Day 6

Phitsanulok – Sukhothai – Chiang Rai

Early in the morning, for those who wish, we will head to the vicinity of the hotel to make an offering to the monks and experience one of the most important rituals of Buddhist culture firsthand. Breakfast is followed by departure for the city of Sukhothai. The highlight of the day is the Archaeological Park, which houses this town, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its incredible beauty and a testament to the centuries of prosperity of Thai civilization, which saw the construction of monumental cities and sophisticated temples. After this visit, we will head to Chiang Rai via Lampang, enjoying the wonderful views along the way and Prayao Lake. Lunch. Arrival in Chiang Rai in the afternoon. Overnight stay.

Day 7

Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai

Breakfast. Visit to the "Golden Triangle" of the Mekong River, which encompasses areas of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos formerly dedicated to the opium trade. We take the opportunity to visit the "Opium Museum" located in the town of Chiang Rai. From there, and before making the obligatory stop at Wat Rong Khun or the White Temple, we will head to the innovative and striking Wat Rong Suea Ten or the Blue Temple. Here you can find paintings in a style similar to that of the White Temple, as it was there that its architect trained for years. We will stop at the spectacular and contemporary Wat Rong Khun, where the color white signifies purity and the crystal represents the wisdom of Buddha as the "light that shines in the world and the universe." The villagers believe that Buddha crossed the temple bridge to preach the dogma for the first time. Lunch. In the afternoon, arrival in Chiang Mai and overnight stay.

Day 8

Chiang Mai

Breakfast. Transfer to the elephant camp, where we will witness a demonstration of the strength and skill of these creatures. Our safari will then begin on elephant back, following the riverbed and crossing the dense jungle vegetation to reach an enclave where tribes from different ethnic groups from the country coexist, highlighting the striking original Long Neck Giraffe Women of Mae Hong Son. Lunch will be served, followed by a visit to an orchid plantation where we will witness the unparalleled beauty of this beautiful plant species. In the afternoon, we will climb the mountain to Doi Suthep Temple, from where we will enjoy a view of Chiang Mai. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.
