Breakfast and departure for the Rio de Janeiro City Tour. Visit Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain (admission included) and a walk through downtown Rio to see the Maracana, Rio Cathedral, Sambodromo, Lapa Arches, and more.

Sugarloaf Mountain and Panoramic City Tour.
This tour begins with a tour of downtown Rio de Janeiro, highlighting the Sambodromo, where the samba school parades take place during the world's most famous carnival. The pyramid-shaped Metropolitan Cathedral, with an internal diameter of 96 meters and a height of 80 meters, and the traditional Cinelandia with the Municipal Theater, the National Library, and the Assembly building. After touring downtown, the tour continues through the Flamengo neighborhood toward Urca, home to Rio de Janeiro's other symbol: Sugarloaf Mountain, which in Guaraní means "high, pointed, and isolated mountain." It was at the foot of this hill that the city of Rio de Janeiro was founded by Estadio de Sá in 1565.
The visit to Sugarloaf Mountain is made in two stages by cable car, the famous "bondinho," suspended by steel cables. The first stage connects Vermelha Beach to Urca Hill, located at an altitude of 215 meters, from where you can see Guanabara Bay and its islands, Flamengo Beach, Corcovado Mountain, and the bridge that connects Rio to Niteroi. From Urca Hill, the second part of the ascent begins, heading to Sugarloaf Mountain at an altitude of 395 meters, where you can enjoy unique views of Copacabana Beach, the Santa Cruz Fortress, and some of Niteroi's beaches. After spending time on the balconies of Sugarloaf Mountain, you will descend using the same bondinho. Your transportation will be waiting at the foot of the hill to take you back to your hotel. End of the tour.
