Itineraries

Day 1

Bangkok

Arrival at Bangkok airport and transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 2

Bangkok

Breakfast. In the morning, we will tour the city by bus, including a tour of Bangkok's main avenues. We will visit Wat Traimit, better known as the Temple of the Golden Buddha, which houses a 5-ton gold Buddha image, and Wat Pho, or the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, one of the largest reclining Buddhas in the world at 46 meters long. At its feet, we will find a spectacular engraving of 108 images depicting positive Buddhist actions. Returning to the hotel, we will visit the state-owned gemstone factory. Overnight stay.

Day 3

Bangkok

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel by bus to visit the town of Mae Klong, where we will see a unique market located on the railway tracks. It is not guaranteed that the train will pass during the market visit, as the market has very irregular schedules. From there, we will visit the Klong Damnersaduak floating market, considered the most important in the country. We will take a motorboat ride through the canals to reach the market itself, where we will have free time to stroll and explore its products. At the end of the visit, return to the hotel in Bangkok. Overnight stay.

Day 4

Bangkok – Kanchanaburi (River Kwai)

Breakfast. Departure for Kanchanaburi province, known not only for its famous Bridge over the River Kwai and its important role during World War II, but also for its natural beauty among hills and rivers. We will take a boat ride along the River Kwai to the bridge and have free time to cross on foot and stroll. From there, we will head to the railway section known as "Hellfire Pass," the most complicated, built in record time by Allied prisoners of war between 1942 and 1943. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and free time. OPTIONAL: For the more adventurous, you can go upriver by boat and then ride the current downstream, equipped with life jackets, back to the resort (activity subject to river conditions and time availability). Overnight stay.

Day 5

Kanchanaburi (River Kwai) - Ayutthaya – Ang Thong - Phitsanulok

Breakfast. Departure for Ayutthaya, the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Siam and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit some of its temples and remains of ancient palaces. Next, we will head to the town of Ang Thong to visit Wat Muang, famous for housing the largest seated Buddha statue in Thailand, almost 100 meters tall. Lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Phitsanulok, a town located in the heart of Thailand and considered one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage centers in the country. Overnight stay.

Day 6

Phitsanulok – Sukhothai – Chiang Rai

At dawn, for those who wish, we can attend the morning offering to the monks. The monks process through the streets, completely barefoot and silent, to collect food offerings from those who await their blessing each day. After breakfast, we depart for the Sukhothai Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit some of its beautiful temples, Buddha statues, ancient trees, and ruins surrounded by nature. At the end, we will head to Chiang Rai, enjoying the scenery and views of Prayao Lake. Lunch. Arrival in Chiang Rai in the afternoon, the former capital of the Lanna Kingdom. Overnight stay.

Day 7

Chiang Rai – Golden Triangle - Chiang Mai

Breakfast. Departure for the Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos seem to merge into a single landscape, divided only by the great Mekong River. Visit the House of Opium, then head to Wat Rong Suea Ten, or the Blue Temple. Built by a local architect who also participated in the construction of the White Temple, it is striking in its striking color. We continue to the spectacular and contemporary Wat Rong Khun, or the White Temple. This temple deviates from traditional canons and stands out for its originality in every detail. It is an unfinished work, and construction is expected to continue for several more decades. Lunch en route. In the afternoon, arrival in Chiang Mai. Overnight stay.

Day 8

Chiang Mai

Breakfast. Transfer to the elephant camp to witness a demonstration of the strength and skill of these great creatures. Afterward, we begin our safari on elephant back, following the riverbed to a place where tribes from different ethnic groups of the country coexist, among which the Giraffe Women (Long Neck) stand out. Lunch. Afterward, we will visit an orchid plantation to witness the beauty of this flower species. In the afternoon, we will climb to Doi Suthep Temple, an important Buddhist pilgrimage center. The legend of its origin, its beautiful panoramic views of the city of Chiang Mai, and its spiritual significance have made it a sacred and mythical site. Accommodation
