Day 3

Jeddah - Medina

Breakfast. Departure for the interior of Arabia, to the holy city of Medina, "the luminous city." Arrival at noon at a shopping center. Free lunch in the food court. We are in an imposing historical destination, one of the two holiest cities in Islam, a destination visited by millions of pilgrims each year and a city that was forbidden to non-Muslims until very recently. It is a holy site; respect for its inhabitants and beliefs, and proper dress are required. We will stroll around the immense Prophet's Mosque (Al Masjid an Nabawi), a mosque with 10 minarets and a capacity for one million visitors, built by the Prophet himself and his burial place. We will visit Uhud Hill, where the Prophet's forces clashed with the Meccan troops. You may walk along its esplanade and climb the hill, but remember to do so in silence and with respect. At the Quba Mosque, in 622, the Prophet and his followers laid the foundation stone of what would become the first mosque in history. From here, we'll walk to the garden and well of Ethiq, where the different tribes of the area came out to greet and give water to the Prophet and his companions, who had just arrived in Medina after their persecution in Mecca. At dusk, we'll head outside the Al Masjid to experience the excitement of seeing the thousands of people who enter at prayer time and the illuminations. Dinner included. Transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 4

Medina – Khaibar – Al Ula

Breakfast. We continue our route and travel to some of the most beautiful desert regions in the world. In a volcanic area with stunning landscapes, we visit Khaibar, a historic region. In this battle, Muslim forces led by Muhammad defeated the Jewish tribes. We will visit the historic fortress of Khaibar and walk through its beautiful oasis (admission included). We will continue to one of the most spectacular places in the world, the Al-Ula region and oasis: a true open-air museum surrounded by nature, where rock formations, canyons, and ravines compete with the majestic treasures carved by its ancient inhabitants. Upon arrival, we'll head to Elephant Rock, "Jabal Al Fil," a stunning geomorphological phenomenon, a XNUMX-meter-high elephant-shaped rock. Dinner and overnight stay.
